With about 4.6 m², the loading area of the flatbed truck turned out to be quite large. It was connected to the chassis by an elaborate V-shaped support structure. The height of the structure was such that the wheels were located directly under the loading area without interrupting it. This made it possible to create an easily usable flat loading area with perfect load distribution. In combination with a maximum payload of around 950 kg, this provided an ideal basis for transporting barrels, bales, sacks, bottles, crates, machine parts, agricultural products, horticultural produce and many other goods. The side walls could also be folded down on all sides for easy loading and unloading.
With appropriate pride, the Goliath factory advertised in old brochures that the Goliath Express 1100 flatbed truck was a "master of its trade". And if the standard version of the flatbed truck was not sufficient for the intended use, buyers could also order the loading area in oversize ex works for a small surcharge.
In addition, the scale model comes with license plates and rear view mirrors for self-assembly.
