Product information "Multicar M24-0 coal merchant’s high-board tipper"
Kit. Finely detailed model of the Multicar M24-0. With high-sided platform and double cab, the full-scale vehicle is on the road for the coal trade. The corresponding logo as well as the lamp trim rings, the tail lights, the door handles and the license plates are elaborately multi-printed. Open doors, a dummy engine, prototypically labeled tires on correctly reproduced rims and rolling capability characterize the completely redesigned model vehicle. The axle shafts are made of blackened steel. Accessories such as bundle briquettes, a wheelbarrow with tools such as shovel and broom complete the kit. A printed sheet with alternate license plates is also included. Seated figure included.

Dimensions 44 x 24 x 25 mm

The Multicar 24 was manufactured in the VEB Fahrzeugwerk Waltershausen in the GDR starting in 1974. Initially equipped only with a single-seat cab, customer demands led to the further development of the M24-0 with a two-seat cab in 1977. Compared to its predecessor, the M22, it was now equipped with a much more powerful, newly developed four-cylinder, four-stroke swirl-chamber diesel engine from Motorenwerk Cunewalde with 45 hp and water cooling. Thanks to a likewise new torsionally soft steel profile frame with a standardized hole pattern for the superstructures, a large number of variants were possible, e.g. flatbed vehicle, three-way tipper, dump truck, high-sided tipper, turntable ladder vehicle, collection container vehicle, box vehicle and many more. The vehicle was built until 1978 in a quantity of 25659 units with an export quota of 48 percent until it was replaced by the Multicar 25.
